Microporous welcomes George Brilmyer to the Microporous family as R&D Manager. George has been working as a consultant in Microporous’ R&D department since March and transitioned to full time as of Monday September 11th. George previously worked at Microporous in 2006 – 2008. He will be reporting to the VP of Technology.
George grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and currently resides in Piney Flats with his wife of 42 years, Carleen. Both George and Carleen graduated from West Virginia University and George now holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin where he specialized in electrochemistry. For the past 35 years he has been involved in many facets of battery-related product development. George has introduced new products in several different industries and holds more than a dozen patents.
George’s interests include golf, guitar and community service, through the Evening Rotary Club of Johnson City.
